If you are interested in becoming a basketball official, look for the classes in the area you want to officiate. You can contact the area director in that area for more information or you can just show up the first night, register, pay the fee, and you are on your way.

In Colorado, basketball officials are members of the International Association of Approved Basketball Officials (IAABO) as well as the National Federation. You must pass the IAABO exam with a score higher than 86 to become a Varsity basketball official. More information is available from your area director.

If you are a TRANSFER official to Colorado we will need a letter of transfer from your former State association stating your standing with them at the time of transfer. If you are not an IAABO official, you will have to take the IAABO test to become certified in Colorado.
